The Port of Seattle is a key driver in our local economy. It needs to remain strong and grow in order for our region to be competitive in the global economy. Simply put, the Port is too important to our community to remain bogged down in the mistakes of the past. A Port Commissioner has to consider their actions through multiple timeframes – it’s about jobs today, maintaining our competitiveness in the future, and improving our environmental performance forever.
